Expecto Patronum!!!

I don't know about you followers, but I'm for sure having mid-week blues.
There's only two things that can make me truly happy when I'm feeling overwhelmed with work and school: My best friends, and

Siriusly (pun intended), there's nothing more calming to the nerves than listening to an H.P. audiobook in the morning when getting ready... or while driving to school... or at night before bed.. or basically anytime at all during the day. The melodious sound of Jim Dale's voice recounting the tales of Harry and friends is better than music to the K3y Three's ears.

Throughout our extensive Harry Potter discussions, we often times place ourselves in the story and imagine what we would do in certain situations in the wizarding world. One thing we know for sure is what our individual patronouses would be.

Hannah:

There's no doubt that Han's patronous would take the shape of a baby lamb. Not only are they her favorite animals, but they're the perfect representation of her personality. Super sweet, loving, and gentle, with a playful and rambunctious side.

Britania:
Britania's would undoubtedly take the shape of a bunny. Cuddly big eyed creatures with fluffy little tails could not be more perfect for her. They're curious and burrow in the ground to have their babies. Their little noses twitch with excitement and they'll never turn down a carrot or some grass. (-written by Hannah)

Jenna:

J-Mama's patronous would most definitely be a hummingbird. They're so little and delicate, just like her. They seem super busy as they fly around energetically. Jenna is so excited all the time, so a cute little colorful hummingbird is absolutely perfect for her.

I highly suggest that you and your besties sit down and figure out what animal best represents your personalities. You never know when you might stumble across a dementor in a dark alley, and you best have a patronous on your side to protect your soul..

Keep up the best friending!!

Brains, Brawn, and Wildcard!

What a week!
It's only Tuesday...?
Feels more like a groundhogs day type Thursday.
No matter. I have 2 best friends that get me through. Aren't best friends the greatest?
Both of my besties have their own ways of making me smile and I'm so thankful for them :)
As you probably know, every member of the K3y Three has their own role to play.
We're a lot like these guys:

Jenna, being the brains, has a very important part to play. She's the friend that has to be convinced to do things. For example, skip class, buy an article of clothing, stay out later, eat bread, etc. She's very busy with school at all times and her go to phrases are: "I should probably go...", "I'm in the library", or "I have to study". Don't think that she's not up for some serious cray cray-ness though. She will not hesitate to clamber into a highchair or put something odd on her head or face for a picture. She also turns into someone too funny when she's in the back seat of a car.

Another important part of the K3y Three is the brawn, aka--Britania. Jenna's fingers are too slender and my wrists are too weak..or we're just too scared of lifting heavy objects. It's not a problem though, anytime something heavy ( a backpack, a box, a chair, a textbook) needs to be lifted into the back of someones car or up on a shelf, Britania just knows that no one else is physically able/doesn't want to do it. Most common phrases from Tani include: "I'll be at the mall if you need me", "I don't wanna grow up", and "Why am I so socially awkward and shifty eyed"? Britania is usually laughing so hard that she can't speak and taking care of everyone but herself. We didn't play volleyball for 12 years like she did, and we're yet to work out. We also don't like to carry ourselves sometimes...

Someone has to be the wildcard in this group, and it's gonna be me. Usually the things that come out of my mouth are unpredictable and sometimes inappropriate. I will talk to strangers and I'm for sure the person that uses people's name tags at restaurants and grocery stores. I am very assertive and will get things done for my besties. If they want a booth- I'll get a booth, if we need to lodge a complaint-I'll be the one to do it, and if someone messes with them-defensive Hannah will take care of it. Impulsive buyer is a good phrase to describe me. Common phrases out of my mouth: "You should buy it", "I'm buyin' this", and "I'm gonna freak out". No one really knows what I'm gonna do next which makes me the wildcard. These were the most random pictures I could find of myself so I thought they fit.

If you and your besties have not assigned roles..do it. It makes everything easier when you expect certain behavior. You might be smart, you might be able to carry heavy things, or you might be cray cray. Whatever your strength, I'm sure you'll be of use to your besties.

Out With The Old... (We Refuse To Be Old)

Now that everyone knows what we were up to last year, it's time to get everybody psyched for what's to come for the K3y Three in 2011!

There seemed to be a reoccurring theme in every situation we found ourselves in last year...

...We all went through some rough times, which caused us to be a little timid/mildly cautious in everything we did.
Not No More.
You heard me right. Our goal this year is to be more spontaneous. You may even use the word adventurous..? Basically we want to be less scared/more willing to do fun things. And we've already gotten started! For instance, last week at a restaurant Hannah and I ordered a dessert. Because we felt like it. :) It's not much..but it's a start!

Also, big news for the K3y Three!:

Why is there another picture of Britania's car, you might ask...? Because it's not my car! It's

Hannah's New Car!

Hannah bought a car yesterday!! I'd say that's a pretty spontaneous move. Of course it's the same car as mine, why wouldn't it be? :) I wish all best friends around the world could purchase matching vehicles. Rather than just informing Jenna about the new car, we decided to test her attention to detail and pick her up with me in the driver's seat. She had no idea that she was in a completely different car until we told her. :) we're pretty sneaky sometimes.

Other sporadic plans we have for this year:

Trips! We don't take enough vacations when we're scared. It's time to change that.

So there you have it! We're trying to be the new and improved k3y three! And thanks to this blog, you will be posted on everything fun that we do this year!

*Side note: we're worried that some of you followers are scared to comment. Don't Be!  Go ahead, leave comments, tell us we're crazy, dare us to do weird stuff... we'll go with it :)

We gots new year fever!

2011--Say what!?

Another year gone. Time tends to fly when life is happening and this year definitely went too fast for the k3y three. I'm excited that come February I will no longer be the only member of this best friend triangle that is over 19 years old. Thank goodness. As we say farewell to 2010 tonight and hello to 2011, I think it's important that we remember to do two things: (1)-We need to think back on the fond memories and enjoyable experiences from 2010, and (2)-We need to make very do-able new years resolutions for 2011, to move forward and stay motivated. I tend to freak myself out with thoughts of getting old so I decided that one of my resolutions will be to embrace my 20 year old ness. As hard as that is, clinging to the days when my age had a 1 in front of it is even harder. Good luck to me.

I'm sitting here, trying to think back on the k3y three's fondest memories and enjoyable experiences...a year is a long time and I tend to have this weird problem where I have no concept of time. I will try however, to remember some of the k3y three's more memorable moments, and put them in rough chronological order.

Our 2010-- By: The K3y Three

January:
- The second semester of our first year in college began.
- Hannah and Britania continued at UVU. Hannah studying Photography and Britania studying History Education.
- Jenna continued at BYU studying Physiology and Developmental Biology.
- We could not have more different interests and love each other more.
- Hannah quits Magleby's Grill (Thanks to Jenna's constant reminder to do so). She then begins her new job as a college advisor at Renevati. Commonly mistaken for Rent A Body--probably a real company.
- Meeting up in the late hours of the night to get a diet coke, Mcdonald's fries, and talk about our days events becomes a tradition.

- One campus is slightly larger than the other.

February:
- Britania turns 19 on February 5th. A surprise party is held for her at her apartment. :)
- Jenna and Hannah spend Valentines day with the girls, I cannot remember where Tani was but nonetheless-boys are way dumb.

March:
- This was probably around the time that the phrase "I'm scared" started being used by the K3y three for any and every situation in our lives.

April:
- The K3y three went for a scooter/go-ped ride and took a band photo.
- Finals, as usual almost killed even the best of us.
- Our first year of college was complete :) Good job us.

May:
- The final member of the K3y three turned 19 on May 9th.
- She thought that we didn't plan anything for her birthday.
- We would never not plan something.
- With the help of Devin and Keala we made her de-code a message on a giant card that said "Pack your bags".
- We took her to Little America in Salt Lake instead :) And got a little crazy.

- May was a good month because the K3y three also went on an underpass adventure.

- We also discovered 50 cent mustaches.

June:
- Jenna and Hannah got pretty patriotic for Flag day. Britania was regrettably working at Green Tea--which takes up an enormous amount of her time. Boo.
- We also started hitting up the pool at any available chance. Diet coke, Harry Potter, and some tanning oil= most of our summer.

- Hannah and Britania decided to take a little road trip up to Boise Idaho to visit Hannah's family. Our activities involved snuggling, reading, painting, lounging, eating, shopping, and loving.
- No make up was worn and no hair was washed.

July:
- The K3y three celebrated the 4th of July..and that's pretty much all that we remember about that month.
- All of us worked a lot..including Jenna who took complaint calls at a college advisement center. Not the same place as Hannah..randomly there are more than one.

August:
- A busy busy month for the K3y three.
- Hannah and Britania were separated for the longest amount of time and the farthest distance apart since their meeting 7 years previous. Hannah went to Florida with David and Britania was scared. Hannah tried to not enjoy Florida too much, but that was pretty difficult.
- Lucky for Hannah however, she came home to find that Britania had become employed at her same place of work. :) No coincidence.
- Britania got a new sister in law. Total count= 2.

I enjoyed this trip maybe a little too much :)

- Also in August, we met a couple boy alter egos and ran with it. I think the pictures speak for themselves. We're pleased to introduce you to Ty, Mitch, and Trev.

September:
- The Duchess came into our lives and changed our hearts.

- Our second year of college began...we're getting scared..cause we're getting old.

October:
- First things first, the K3y three went for a relaxing picnic up the canyon to enjoy each others company. Best picnic in the world.
- We had a genius idea to start a blog to give people an inside look at the workings of the best bestfriendship in the world.
- Hannah had the opportunity to take some family pictures for some people she kind of likes..or loves with all her heart :) Freezes=crazy fun.
- Of course we had to match for Halloween, who do you think we are? Soda cans anyone?

November:
- This was an incredibly important month of the year for us.
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas prep.
- Harry freaking Potter.

Shout out to a couple of besties we support.
Keep up the good work Maggie and Shelbey <3

December:
- Christmas time is really when the K3y Three's true colors shine. Since we had a Christmas chain counting down the days till the 25th, we planned some other activities to keep us busy.
- Christmas craft party on December 2nd was a huge success.
- Hannah turned twenteen/20 on December 19th.
- Christmas day was bliss.

And...here we are in January 2011 :) Congratulations on making it through the longest blog post in history. Apparently a lot happens in a year/365 days. Another year is before the K3y Three and we're feeling spontaneous. Many more adventures to come.

Goodbye 2010, you treated us well!
